Response For Question:
I am looking for information on a 20mm DU spotter round that was used with the Davy Crockett weapons system - 1950's or 1960's.
Frank, I am still waiting to hear back from one other source on the 20mm spotter round. We did find some information on the Davy Crockett system itself. There were at least two sizes the 120mm (XM28) and the 155mm (XM29). The XM 28 used a 20mm spotter round while the XM 29 used a 37mm spotter round. One source that may help is FM 23-20 "Davy Crockett Weapons System in Infantry and Armor Units" Dated December 1961. we have not located a copy of the FM ourselves yet. If we get additional information on the round I will pass it along. Regards, Alexander UXOInfo.com
