Do illumination rounds contain perchlorate and did they ever contain perchlorate? If so, I have a follow up question. What is the percent composition of perchlorate in the illumination rounds as well as the percent of the remaining compounds in the total chemical makeup of the rounds?
A common illumination round, for example the 155mm M485, uses a magnesium/sodium nitrate mixture. No perchlorate involved in the illumination mixture itself.
