Response For Question:
What is an HEAT round?
HEAT stands for High Explosive Anti-Tank -- HEAT rounds "usually" refer to projectiles although there are HEAT rockets and other ordnance. The HEAT round contains a shape charge which is essentially a cone (usually copper) with explosives around it. When the exploives initiate the cone collapses and forms a jet which penetrates the target. The jet is strong enough to punch a hole in a tank hence the name anti-tank.
